Birds of a Feather

I am so excited to tell you about a women's expo which takes place here in San Diego next week. The expo is called "Birds of a Feather" and features talents, interests and passions for women. This event is open to all women and admission is free, although you are asked to donate your gently used clothing. This clothing will be given to Rachel's House, a shelter for homeless and battered women.

There will be roughly thirty booths featuring information about everything from makeup to cooking, from fitness to photography. And guess what? One of these booths will be manned by yours truly. Yay!!

I will be providing information about digital scrapbooking. And I am thrilled to have some amazing sponsors: Shutterfly and I will have some AWESOME giveaways (which may include a free photobook to everyone who stops by my booth, and discount coupons for Jessica's amazing online courses) along with information about digital scrapbooking and the chance to meet other digi-scrappers in the area.

So, here's the deets:

So, if you happen to live in Southern California or know someone who does, please spread the word! I am flattered to be a part of this exciting event and look forward to meeting other digital scrapbookers (and soon-to-be digital scrapbookers).

Sweet Faces

I saw this photo on Lovely Package and immediately started working on my own version. The best part is that Splendid Fiins has a silhouette tutorial that is super easy. I've followed other silhouette tutorials and I've always found it to be a tricky process, so trust me when I say this one is easy. And thank goodness for the easy silhouette, because the rest of the layout was much more difficult for me. Nonetheless they are finally finished and I am happy to show off these two adorable faces:

I'm definitely happier with the way Ty's turned out. I may end up tweaking Maddie's...for some reason, I couldn't get it to flow the same way. But don't you just love the concept? I would love to do one of these for each of my sweet nieces and nephews...if their mamas would just send me a usable profile photo (hint, hint!)

Happy Place

I shot a birthday party yesterday in Mission Bay, which is where Sea World is located. The weather couldn't have been more perfect.

Pretty sure I've found my happy place, and it's here in San Diego.

Keep On Truckin'

I was scheduled to fly home the Tuesday after Christmas. Instead, I took a gamble and hopped into Hunter's truck. I was pretty nervous when his next load took him east instead of west. We headed to Colorado and ended up in the middle of a pretty intense snowstorm. Hunter thought it was the coolest thing ever. Check it out:

I'm happy to say I survived the freezing weather and we did eventually make it to California where I was able to thaw out. Unfortunately, I also had to say goodbye to my sweetheart so he could head back out on the open highway. I'm looking forward to my next roadtrip with him! :)

Season of Snuggles

I had the best Christmas with these two snuggly buddies:
Aren't they precious?! Look who else got to snuggle with us:
Christmas is always better when you have someone to snuggle. :)
