More of the Same

We went camping over the weekend, up Big Cottonwood Canyon. As you can see, there is still a bit of snow there:
Needless to say, it was quite cool. But we came prepared, and didn't mind it at all. The Rigbys joined us for dinner Friday night, and we had a heck of a time keeping Maddie entertained. It was fun, as always...we like the Rigbys.

Our campground was close to Doughnut Falls, so on Saturday we decided to take our RC buddies and head over. We were greeted by this atrocious sign:
It's kinda hard to see, but there is an extra t in there. How offensive.

It rained for a while on Saturday, which really enhanced the forest colors. Hunter and I couldn't stop taking pictures! Here are a few from the hike:

On our way back from Doughnut Falls, we found a moose! Unfortunately, the camera decided to focus on the tree instead of the furry guy behind it. Now, instead of being furry he's just fuzzy!

We saw so many birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and deer that Hunter commented he felt like he was in a Disney cartoon! We were just waiting for them to break into song...
Well this guy was not singing at us! He kept running back and forth across our campsite gathering pinecones. We were just sitting at the picnic table watching him, and Hunter was taking a few pics. Suddenly he popped up from behind that log and started hollering at us! I think we were supposed to be scared, but it didn't work...we couldn't stop laughing. You have to look can see the guy's mouth is WIDE open! He was pretty worked up.

Here's a few photos from Saturday night:
It was a great weekend. :)

That was see awesome scenery (it reminded me of Montana), animals and the camp fire! I don't know what it is about camp fires but it always leaves me with the urge to go camping.
