Sexy New Wheels
Check out our new wheels! Our truck seemed to be on its last legs, so we needed a new mode of transportation. Hunter and I settled on our criteria for the new vehicle, and he proceeded to research the options. He did some serious homework and determined the best candidates were a Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, or Mazda 3.
We visited several car lots and test drove a few versions, and then Hunter decided we should check out the Subaru lot at the Auto Mall. He really wanted a Subaru Impreza, but we weren't sure it would be in our price range. There actually were a couple in our range, but we found an even better deal there. Believe it or not the Scooby lot had a sweet 2005 Mazda for sale! This baby is fully loaded; perforated leather seats, sun roof, power locks & windows (isn't that standard, yet?), six disc cd changer, and so on. Despite the somewhat daunting standard transmission, I fell in love with it right away. I said "pretty please" and he bought it for me! WOOHOO! Here are some more pics of the beaut:
So now that we had a new car, we had to get rid of the Pathfinder. We had actually written it off, assuming since it needed a new water pump and had 183,000 miles (not to mention the broken exhaust header studs...whatever the #$!%@ that means), no one would want it. We considered donating it to Kars for Kidneys, but figured we'd give the KSL classifieds a shot first. So we went to work and Hunter posted the ad at 2:00 pm. Two hours later: sold. No kidding. He was inundated with phone calls, and had two potential buyers show up to test drive. While Hunter was out on the first test drive, he received yet another phone call from an interested party. As Hunter proceeded to set up another showing, the dude test driving the car said "tell him it's sold"!
And there you have it.
